The Age of Decommission

Put delivery experience in financial services technology, build-operate-transfer, and autonomous systems behind your next decision.

You need to make decisions about AI and work that hold up after the pitch is over. My expertise is in what happens next: building the capability, running it, transferring it, and understanding what still needs a human who knows the work.

I have worked on the delivery side of technology for insurers, pension funds, and wealth managers. Much of that work is build-operate-transfer: assemble a capability, operate it, then put it in the hands of whoever inherits it. That experience sharpens the questions you need to ask about accountability, vendor dependence, and the knowledge a transition can quietly remove.

The Age of Decommission puts that delivery perspective alongside the history of offshoring, outsourcing, shared services, automation, and agents. You gain a longer view of the promises being made today, and a practical way to examine the costs, exceptions, and dependencies behind them.

My current work is AI-assisted development and the security and oversight of autonomous systems. The aim here is direct: give you the evidence and judgment to challenge a weak proposal, protect what matters, and lead your next move with conviction.

Find the guidance for your next decision.
